Darlin' - I'm type II diabetic, am I worried??? - not bloody likely!!! - have I changed my eating habits??? - NO way!!! - I still eat sweets and chocolate (albeit not as much as I used to). All I've done is swop white bread to wholemeal and I now put sweeteners in my coffee instead of sugar. Sadly I've had to do away with the tot of Brandy in my morning coffee but thats the only change to my diet I have condescended to make.

I wanted to avoid the nasty complications so take it much more seriously, very little carbs, no sugar etc. I relaxed a bit over Christmas and didn't feel so good so the diet must suit my body. I don't say anyone else should do it as it's very much about finding what works for your body I think. And although it sounds restrictive it's amazing how quickly you don't miss the things, your tastes just change.|
