The cure of love and care

10mths ago, we took on Beau a rescue dog from a puppy farm. He had lived in a cage for 6yrs, was skinny and been shaved, had a dislocated knee from puppyhood and knew absolutely nothing of the outside world. He also had an ear infection and had just had a tooth out.

This is him now. His leg has strengthened so well with regular walks that he no longer limps or needs pain killers. He is loving, cheeky and has developed a wonderful little personality. Before having him we had decided that we were too old to have any more dogs. How glad I am that we changed our minds
An added bonus is that my OH had a stroke in Jan and doggy walking has helped him immensely.

That is so lovely, Beau has finally got someone to love and will love him back.

As you say helping your husband get out and about walking Beau is good therapy.

Alberta you have my utmost admiration in taking this little bundle of joy, I dare not put into words what my feelings are to these horrible puppy farmers at least you have given one sad little dog a happy home for his remaining life.

Re: The cure of love and care

A wonderful story and I hope the puppy farm is now closed for good..

Ive always had cast offs and rejects but they have always turned out to be the best companions anyone could ask for.
