A post Christmas sandwich

Last week, in my attempts to use up the food left over in the fridge, I came up with a great sandwich combination which was actually a lot nicer than it sounds:

Pigs in blankets with spinach leaves, avocado, tomato and cucumber.

Any other winners out there?

It's not strictly a use up sandwich, but this is my favourite sandwich

A big chunk of French stick, buttered, then spread with dairylea, topped with peppered salami, coleslaw, then add a bag of ( has to be golden wonder) cheese and onion crisps. Squidge down and scoff

Re: A post Christmas sandwich

Being of Eastern European descent we decided on a traditional festive meal.....carp.

So I had a sandwich made up of carp, mayo, grated carrot and piccalilli.

No leftovers here as we've been away, and all there is in the fridge is a piece of cheese, so for tea today it will have to be grilled cheese on toast with just a hint of HP sauce... yum yum....
