The work ethic (Part 2) – Any regrets?

This thread is following on from the earlier thread ‘The work ethic – hard work pays or not?

https://www.over50sforum.com/showthread.php?t=60399

With the various interesting posts and comments on the original thread (above) this new thread poses another perspective on the work ethic. If you could put the clock back does anyone who posted on that thread have any regrets and if so what would they change now if they could?

If you did not post on that thread there’s nothing preventing you from doing so now and also posting on this one.

No regrets in what I did for a living but in retrospect, I should have gone self-employed a lot earlier.

Re: The work ethic (Part 2) – Any regrets?

No regrets at all about having a sound work ethic - It has served me well throughout my working life. In my view this doesn't just apply to working to earn a living either. This "drive" impinges on all that I do. If I don't put my best effort into things I do and if I know I can do better I feel I have let myself down. I suppose it could be said it is an attitude of mind and a persistence if you like. I am unlikely to change as I age.

No, the ethic is current.
