Did anyone get married here?

We called here on our way to Scotland a few years ago.
A teenage friend of mine eloped with her boyfriend many years ago and got married at Gretna Green.

I didn't get married there, but I have been a few times on coach holidays to Scotland, it's a popular stop off.

No didnt get married there but go often to the Gretna Village, Phoebe loves it as she gets a lot of elderly women talking to her.( I think joe does as well!)

We called in at Gretna when we holidayed in Carlisle a couple of years ago, but it was much too "touristy" for us, and seemed to have been stripped of any authenticity and character...

My neighbour's daughter got married at Gretna a couple of years ago.
I tend to agree with Barry - it is touristy, but I did find a very nice liqueur whisky when we visited - it's called Glava - I can recommend it. Hic!!!!

Didn't get married there but have stayed in Gretna Green for a night on our way to Fort William. I love Scotland.
