Re: Could you live without your mobile phone?

Just dragged mine out of hibernation - to check if it needs credit - it doesn't. I put £20 on it in 2010 - when I bought it - and there is £8:50p left!

Sane here Missy

And it's on a "need to know" basis that you start too Morti
You will only use what you need/want to begin with...
And then a whole new world begins to open up in your hand!

I'm even thinking of doing mobile pay now
So I won't even need to use a bank card anymore
Just swipe my phone at the till

Forgot I’ve also mobile pay

I’d gone to work the other week and hasn’t taken a card with me and needed petrol to get home. I had to do an IOU so the minute I got home I put mobile pay on my phone so I wouldn’t be embarrassed again

Re: Could you live without your mobile phone?

Before I got one I thought it would be too complicated but the ones I've had are simpler to figure out than our computers, and tablets, since I got my first I've found it so useful no need to carry

A book
A satnav
A note book
A radio
A camera
Maps
A newspaper
Crossword book
A watch with alarm
I use it as a kitchen timer and many other things

Could o live without ? Yes I guess I could but why would I want to ? It's so useful !

I could do without my mobile phone (which is very basic anyway and only used for texting) half the time I forget I have one and can't remember where it is

Re: Could you live without your mobile phone?

Until recently all I had was a Samsung with pay as you go. I put £20 on it 2016, and when I checked I still had £14 on it. But last month my daughter gave me her old iPhone 6s. Now I am gadget mad and always have been. The things I have found to do with it, well I get a beep, and I can see who is at my street door when away from home, And tell them “not today thank you”.
I even had to use the compass on it when out walking in the forest today.
I was told that you can talk to people with it as well.

Re: Could you live without your mobile phone?

As much as I use my phone, I never gaze at it whilst navigating busy pavements. It stays in my pocket playing music to my earphones but I can still hear what's going on around me. I'll only take it out of my pocket if I get an actual phone call.

Then I'll find a doorway or a bench where I can safely talk before it goes back into my pocket.
