Fear of Flying

Has anyone ever taken any over the counter medicines that helped with a fear of flying . Something to make me sleep for a few hours would be good ? Going to New Zealand next week and I hate flying !

Re: Fear of Flying

Stugeron tablets for travel sickness are wonderful. I slept for five of the seven hours it took to fly home from New York. (it was a night flight) I didn't have jet lag or anything... I can thoroughly recommend them.

Re: Fear of Flying

That is a long flight and flying at the best of times is boring(I cannot afford first class) Ask your Doc you may get a couple of tablets just to relax you.

At least you are brave enough to actually get on a plane. I can't.

Re: Fear of Flying

Hope it went well. At least there is a break half way to NZ, which helps. I have happy pills from my GP. I rarely take them but I know I have them , and they work pdq, if I go into panic mode. I have been known to freeze when about to board a plane. Pop a pill and in 15 mins. I am so relaxed it's not true. Now just having them in my hand luggage is enough.
