Sorry these photos don't remotely do the place justice; you'll just have to come and check it out for yourself.

The Sacred Kingfisher
By PnR Photos · · From Pic of the Week
Sitting on the veranda mid afternoon, this Sacred Kingfisher was in a nearby tree waiting for suitable prey.
A very beautiful and majestic bird.

The cold clear nights are short lived ...
By mjdphotosdotcom · · From Pic of the Week
The cold clear nights are short lived as the next weather system pushes it's way across the Snowy Mountains. Frontal systems have a way of making for wonderful cloud fronts over the range, this one nicely lit up by the sun setting out west.
A sure sign of wind and more precipitation on the way.

Ruins of Yesteryear............
By Steve · · From My Back Roads
Thru out regional Barossa Valley there are many old abandon home steads, they grasp every aspect of the photograph, from design, the location, if its in among vine yards or farming land, and all four season of the year brings a different dimension all the time, colours and textures, there is that splendid appeal thru the lens.

Swanbank Steam Train
By Bruce Thompson Photography · · From My Back Roads
The old SWANBANK STEAM TRAIN is a great attraction to Swanbank not far from Ipswich …… the Staff even dress in Period Costume. The Sunlight strikes the train just nicely as its coming around the corner. The Driver sits in the window to talk to the Guard in the back carriage.

Re: Pictures you love

Bales
By Shane Herring · · From My Back Roads
You may see them when driving around rural farming areas. You can also see them on the back of trucks being moved around the state or even around the country.
Wherever they are, hay bales are an essential part of food security for livestock. Once they're cut and baled, they normally don't stay long. When a photograph presents itself, you'd better take it otherwise they might not be there tomorrow.
I came across these when driving back home after an early morning landscape shoot. In the early morning light, the gold of the stubble and bales stood out against an almost clear blue sky. I had to grab this photo.

Waterhole, nr Marla, SA
By brasstacks · · From My Back Roads
Travelling north from Oodnadatta towards Mount Dare, I crossed a dry creek when the glint of sun on water caught my eye. I drove up the creek to the quite large waterhole and camped here for two days.
