Consider Communist China. One of the largest Manufacturing and Exporting business in th World since they embraced Capitalism. Now their wages and living standards have increased as well. Many now come to Europe and the UK for holidays

Also the Chinese Goverment happily pay large fees to send there students to British Universities.

"Very Clever the Chinese"

The Goverment should now give grants to new Business and established ones to 'Set up Shop' in places of mass unemployment, and cut down £12billion of Foreign Aid to Countries who waste. and much of it goes to the wrong people to make them rich, and do not need so much either.

And another thing ,they should release all they empty proprty they and the Local Councils own and in partnrship with Builders, build lots of New Homes for 'First Time Buyers' at a reasonable cost.

And why are we importing mass-produced goods into the UK
Plenty of Britsh Business people in the 'Rag Trade' can mass-produce knickers. At least they wil not fall down round your ankles. No! just use stonger elastic.
Hi

The services industry is where we make our money, not manufacturing.

http://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/nation...ktrade/apr2016

The reason we import so much is due to cost, goods can be manufactured much cheaper abroad.

It is all about profit.

It is time consuming, difficult and expensive to move large manufacturing plants, that is why nothing will happen for a while, for years in fact.

The services industry is very different.

Just move Headquarters, and then we lose out on the tax they pay.

According to telegraph yesterday The problem of not enough trained trade negotiators might not be so much of a problem as feared New Zealand has offered to loan us some of their extremely successful trade negotiators, which should help quite a lot. Perhaps other Commonwealth countries may follow

I agree that is a good thing and very helpful of them.

However, it just shows the mess we have landed ourselves in since we joined the EU in not having our own competent negotiators.

It also suggests that other non-EU nations might feel the same distaste about the way the EU are trying to rule other countries.

graculas.

You seem to have superior knowledge of knicker elastic
and if you had nimble fingers you could easiiy manage bra straps

Lots of women no longer wear bra's so the problem will not arise. Can't gaurantee that a painful kick be avoided though.

Anyhow we all know what Jackdaws are like. 'Whip it quick'
They steal things in a flash, especially knickers from the clothes line.

Manufacturing still contributes a significant share of GDP
and it extends into other chains as it progresses.
The majority of R & D spending in the world is geared to the manufacturing industry.
From B & I Statergy.

These days industrial machines are much lighter and streamlined so would not be difficult to move

More manufacturing businssess would solve the unemployment situation, and has been said we need very good salesmen negotitors. To succeed in business all you need to do is:
Build a Better Mousetrap.

Hi

I see Blair is pitching for a job as our chief negotiator.

Is there no end to his vanity?

I'm sick of hearing him, and hearing about him. The sooner he's inside, the better.
