Anyone had a Pension Wise call or meeting?

I've scheduled a pension wise call for a couple week's time. Has anyone already had one - are they any use? Any clues on the content other than what they send in advance?
thanks
Mike

Re: Anyone had a Pension Wise call or meeting?

I hadn't heard of Pensionwise Mike, but I looked on their website and as it is Government advice it should be kosher. Too late for me and my OH as we have already retired, but if we had known of a website like this I think we would have taken advantage of it. When it comes to retiring there are all sorts of options and it can be very confusing knowing what is right for yourself. Hope you get some useful advice.

Re: Anyone had a Pension Wise call or meeting?

Taking your pension seems so much more complicated than it was when my OH and I retired. We did not have so many decisions to make 10-15 years ago. Not many mistake we could have made. Simply took a lump sum and the rest was paid out as a monthly index linked pension each. We didn't have to go hunting for annuities, aside for a small pension plan I took out as a top up. Sadly those days are long gone now. I wonder if it will get even more complicated when our children reach retirement age.
