I have to say that I have met very charismatic men who are also miserable so and so's. It must be pretty tough to be a charismatic introvert and be constantly bothered by people drawn to you!

But I am just watching a documentary on Doris Day (BBC 4 for anyone who is interested) and she is a woman who definitely oozed charisma. I think Thatcher had it too. Charlotte Rampling, Glenda Jackson, Ava Gardner, Joan Crawford, Judi Dench, Margaret Rutherford, Christine Lagarde (love her or hate her she has it), Maggie Smith... I could go on and on. Mainly women in entertainment because there are fewer women in high profile political and business roles.
Annie, I agree with you and Azure on the fact, it has nothing to do with looks at all.

In that case, do men see 'charisma' in certain women then?

Come on you fellas, I'd like to know if you think certain women have charisma, or is it something only men can have?

Re: Charisma.

I think Charismatic folks like to think they attract each other to a perfect union, but, Charisma requires a person to be completely happy in their own shell, and usually they are for a lifetime, so don't tend to enter into the imperfection of a lasting relationship, so, it follows there are less Charismatic "Duos" than four leaf clovers.

Re: Charisma.

Hi

So observant these posts.

Some have charisma in spades, that indefinable something, an empathy.

It is not about wealth, power etc, it just is.

My Boss was a lady who is now running the Country.

We used to refer to her as having had a very successful Triple Charisma Bypass Operation.

I have had Bosses I would walk through fire for.

She is not one of them.
