The internet is a paradise for the more cowardly type of bully, doesn't have to give any personal details just hides behind the screen and blasts away at the selected victim.
In my short internet experience I noticed they are experts on forum rules and always quote them like "I am a member of this forum and am entitled to say what I want to say, that's my right...blah blah blah" They balance on the edge of the rules all the time.
I’ve found the best thing to do with them is completely ignore them.

I`m a little bit wiser now but my first forays resulted in meeting some very nasty folks who destroyed ostensibly nice places to swap messages.

speak for yourself, I don't set out to upset anyone whether online or in the real world, life's too short but if they have a go at me I can give as good as I get

Julie that's awful. I'd have been getting very frightened I think. I hope you well and truly got rid of him in the end.

I suspect the type of person who trolls on the internet, probably isn't a nice sort of person in real life either.
