Just got back from my other appointment. And.......it had been cancelled. The clinic was locked up and in darkness. I rang the number on my appointment letter and they said it was unavoidable and that they had been trying to ring me, but they only had my home number and I was up in Scotland.

Michael matey, B***ards!!! If the appointment was being cancelled and they couldn't contact you on the 'phone, why didn't they write to you???

I agree, this is disgusting. You could try to get them to make a new one and pretty soon. When you've got heart troubles you can do without this!

They said they had written to me to make a new appointment for later this month. But I was up in Scotland because my daughter is almost incapacitated and has to go into town tomorrow. I was thinking about ringing up to postpone the appointment so that I could take her, but she said no.
If I had have done. I would have found out about the cancellation and stayed up there for a few more days.

I guessed you were going to say something like this, as you came back especially for this appointment. You could just kick them couldn't you? You're back safe and sound now though, haven't got that journey to go through, not the point I know.

Exactly, lucky you. It's beautiful in Scotland but too cold for me! You'll be near that lovely daughter of yours too. I envy you.
