Re: RIP Dame Vera Lynn

Vera Lynn , a woman who came along at just the right time in history to help keep up the morale of a country in its time of need.
She is the kind of person we need now, optimistic hard-working and slow to criticise an inspiration to us all.
Dame Vera will be mourned by many

I hope so. I think she deserves a huge send off, paid for by the government but I suppose lockdown will prevent that.

Probably
A friend has died suddenly and his large family and friends can only have ten people at the church service .
It’s disgusting while people are marching in protest in their hundreds and the coppers are meekly kneeling down before them

Re: RIP Dame Vera Lynn

This is very sad news as she was a remarkable woman.

I saw her at a jamboree type event in Warwick Castle when l was in the Brownies. She walked along the row of us, all lined up and the girl next to me presented her with a bouquet.

Rest In Peace Dame Vera Lynn, you’ll never be forgotten....
