Re: What's on Telly?

Well I like Big Brother (Australian version is better than ours) and I like I'm a Celebrity but then I'm an incurable watcher of people's reactions to situations and if that makes me unintelligent - so be it; thankfully, a lot of psych people watch for the same reason

One old programme I used to watch watch was "Nearest and Dearest" with Hylda Baker and Jimmy Jewel. Loved that show but it has never come back on here with repeats, so disappointed.

Reality shows are big here at the moment and I can't be bothered to watch. They are a waste of space for anyone with a bit of intelligence.
Love Hilda Baker - Sandi A one off !

Pats CG did you ever watch Nearest and Dearest with all the Pledges Pickles family ? It was a real good laugh. Was a definite show every week in our house.

BB is one of my favourites it may not entertain everyone but then probably nothing on TV would appeal to every viewer.

Doesn't mean I can't enjoy other shows it's just part of my viewing pleasure.

Would be like saying if you like the news that's all you can ever watch LOL

Re: What's on Telly?

I watching the repeats of 'Count Arthur Strong'. It is (I think) one of the best comedy shows that I have seen for years.

From time to time, BBC4 has excellent factual progs. by people like Jim Al-Khalili and Marcus Du Sautoy. Amongst all the dross of Big brother, 'soaps' and apalling 'reality' shows', there are some gems that make TV worth while. Not so sure about Brian Cox!

Can't wait for another series of 'I'm a Celebrity' to come back. At least I hope it's coming back some time in November.
