Oh Yes! l got that bit right! I used Castrol 5w-30!
It cost enough! Then to see it all drained away!

too much oil in an engine makes the elastic bands slippery let alone over pressurise the block

JBR and Tipin, Do you both want a slap?
I hate incorrect spelling and can understand why ruthio cringes at bad spelling!!

I was worried that the excess oil would damage the seals but hopefully, the car is ok? It still drives ok!

Me too. I could spend all day correcting misspellings on here, but I don't dare!

Oh, yes, it will still drive OK...

...for now, but be aware that it is quite likely to blow up before long.
