Like Julie, I cant take any non-steroidals, also the cream brings me out in burn like blisters. I ended up at a hospial in the USA after using Piroxicam cream on a sore shoulder. The strongest pain killer I can take is paracetamol which does nothing for my osteoarthritis.

When I had my knee replacement I could not tolerate morphine, so had to do without painkillers.

I have tried, heat and cold pads and a TENS machine, all to no avail. At times I am at my wits end how to cope.

Can you take co codomol codeine and paracetamol ? the added codeine seems to help. Or Tramadol is stronger than that, I can't take though as I got rather addicted to it so it scares me to try it again.
