Re: Early to Rise?

I waken up about 5 am every morning, when I worked I was up at that time to get ready to go out and get the bus to the train station and then the train to Glasgow, to work! Never used an alarm clock. Don't always get up at 5 am. I wait for a little while, or get up and make a cup of tea and then sit on the side of the bed and read my book!

Re: Early to Rise?

Wake and get up between 8-8.30am-this is by choice...never set the alarm clock unless I really have to be out earlier, which is not very often.

Re: Early to Rise?

5AM Mon-Fri as my Wife still goes to work and i take her in the car, She has a part time cleaning job about 8 miles from home and if she went by bus it would take her about 45 min to get there as she would have to get two buses, Mind you she gets a bus home as the bus pass is cheaper than petrol.

It doesn't bother me as i have had many jobs where you have to get up early and i am used to it.

Usually awake about 5.00am and go and get a cup of tea to take back to bed and then read awhile and listen to the radio before getting up

Re: Early to Rise?

My dream for the 10 years before I retired that when I did I would revert back to my Teenage days and get up at about 12 instead of getting up at 6am for work

Four years later I still am getting up at 6am cant brake the habit.

Re: Early to Rise?

Everyone seems to be early risers, my missus gets up at eight every morning while I'm in dream Heaven then starts to make all kinds of noises to wake me up, like hoovering or popping up and down the stairs singing terrible Country and Western songs, (God never blessed her with a singing voice). I have to give in and get up just for a bit of peace.
