Yes I agree, I guess I used the wrong word to describe my thread's contents. Because I don't consider the shows I watch sappy, soppy. I was just meaning compared to the crass stuff people watch today, everything I mentioned in my post 'would' be considered 'sappy'.

I don’t know about ‘sappy’ but I don’t like slap-stick comedy. I’m only interested in US TV progs, cops shows mainly.

I grew up with Starsky & Hutch. I had their posters or pictures on the paneling that was on my bedroom walls back in the 70's.
I had scrapbooks tooDon't know what happened to them.

I also watched Baretta, Magnum PI, my husband liked Charlies Angels, lol. I'm sure there's more, just can't think of them right now.

I'm a big fan of cop shows. Especially Law and Order.
