I've been getting to grips with my iPad these last two days (thanks to my son being here for the weekend!) and thought I'd post some pics of it. Still have a lot to learn, but I think I've managed to grasp the basics (okay for a non-techie like me I suppose!)

Wow, Mags, thanks for posting that! What a fascinating thing that is, a mini-computer you can carry around. You need a wireless connection for that. don't you? I can see you're having lots of fun with it. Does it do pics too?

Wow Mags, never thought of taking a picture of what is on my computer....make note to myself

Don't know anyone here that has one yet. Keep us up on what you find it can do that other tech products cannot.

I love how fast it is to display images (I saw one at the Apple store the other day - just had to have a look! )

Handy web browser to take on hols etc - will you be taking it when you go on hols next?

Azz - I'm very pleased with it so far, it feels great to hold and the screen is very responsive to touch. I've been working hard getting used to it - by playing games! I've not yet decided whether to take it with me on hols - will have to check the hotel facilities.

Eileen - yes, it needs a WiFi signal (wireless). You can transfer your photos from your computer onto the iPad, or if you buy a camera connection kit you can transfer them straight from your camera.
