I'm in the U.S. Midwest, in Ohio.

Mmmmmmm, scrambled eggs on toast. That sounds so good right now.

Wow, now that's fresh! I just bought a dozen from our local farm market. They get their eggs from a chicken farmer not far from here. Having one tonight on a BLT

Ive gone off chicken really---I never seem able to cook it properly now--although I have an oven in my microwave-its still not like the oven in my cooker---which is still not working.

But had lovely meal tonight---salmon--done in microwave oven---grated carrot and apple---plus chopped pepper and celery---plus a sauce for my salmon made with fromage frais and a little teri yaki sauce--so tasty !!

Okay, I'm going to ask a strange, but sincere question... why would anyone cook chicken (or fish) in a microwave???

Not the same in a microwave.

Mariana, you can always cook your chicken breasts or fish in the frying pan, you only need to spray a tiny bit of oil in the pan.

That Linda looks really tasty.

The Eggs you buy in the supermarkets are not that fresh, yours probably is Linda, but i'm talking in general, and when you cook them the York is not deep yellow like it should be.

Today we are having homemade Vegetable Curry and some Pasta shells.

I'd much rather do that than use a microwave to cook chicken & fish, although I have come across a few microwave recipes for both. I don't have the courage to try them.

Very true. Basic supermarket eggs are rather boring and tasteless. But our supermarkets also carry organic eggs and eggs from cage-free hens that are free to roam and eat grass and other natural things, besides being given a diet of nothing but seed filled with antibiotics while being crammed into cages. The eggs I always buy are Happy Egg Co.

They're much more expensive than basic eggs, but they're worth it. Large, brown eggs, very tasty and have a deep, rich orange yolk; not pale yellow. And this article says they originated in the UK. Do you have these there?

Sounds good. Well, except the curry part

I'm having fish and scallops for lunch. I need a veg, though.

Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

Because I do not have a working oven--just the oven in my microwave--a proper convection oven....works well mostly-but chicken never seems roght---however i got some chicken fillets out the freezer and will try them again tonight--maybe with teriyaki sauce...I am not sure aboit frying my chicken or fish---I have 2 ceramic hobs---but i am not used to working with electric hobs, so its still trial and error--bought the hobs when I was told my cooker was not working right--so ive got no grill either---
