Outer Door Fallen Of My Eletrolux Micowave Cooker

It was stuck on with glue, by the looks of the residue around it. Obviously that will have to be removed before I do anything.
Any ideas as to what glue I should use to attach it on again?
Should I get it professionally done instead of doing it myself?

All replies gratefully received.

Tiffany, You should chuck it out immediately and not even consider glueing it .
Didn't you know that microwaves can leak radiation if the door is faulty?

Tiffany I agree with Art, I wouldn't try to mend a Microwave myself either, I would have it done by an engineer or scrap it.

Found a company who might be able to repair it, inner door still shuts ok it's the outer door that fell off. If not then I'll have to replace it.

Your responders are right Tiffany. I think you should replace it now.

Re: Outer Door Fallen Of My Eletrolux Micowave Cooker

By the time you have paid the labour charge to have your existing microwave repaired it could well work out to be more expensive than buying a new one.

No idea of what specification you require but they can be bought from as little as £49. I was only looking at them the other day in Tesco and it's surprising what you can get and compared to some time ago, how inexpensive they are.

Currys PC World have some offers on now but there are many suppliers where you can buy one:

I agree too.
In fact, it says somewhere in the instructions on mine never to attempt to use it if it is damaged in any way.

Better to be safe than sorry, Tiff.

Re: Outer Door Fallen Of My Eletrolux Micowave Cooker

Mine is built in with my cooker, as a double unit, so it could be difficult to replace, for a start the new one would have to fit in the space above the oven/grill, they are in a cupboard type container. If I get someone to look at it, it might be repairable, it's the outer door than has come off not the main door that closes, that still works, I won't use it while the outer door is detached as it obviously needs that.

So really the door hasn’t fallen off your microwave oven ?
I’ve no experience of a double door one
