Re: Mouldy Cheese!
I would eat mouldy cheese once the mouldy bits are scraped off. They say don't eat mouldy foods because it may cause cancer etc, but seriously? It's the same as having a mouldy carrot or mature potato. You peel away the old bits and it's fine inside.
I don't stick cling film on cheese but was not aware of the problems with plastic. I usually put an open supermarket packet into one of those ziplock bags in the fridge and it stays fresh for ages.
I never buy deli counter produce because I suspect a) that it's not sufficiently refrigerated, b) the human contact spreads germs, c) flies end up in there without us realising. Just my hygiene fussiness but I'm super careful about food handling and even rinse meat and fish before cooking (despite the guidance). I don't even like using tea towels. Probably all wrong but it works well because we don't end up with food poisoning.
