If you go across the Ponte Vecchio towards the newer town the road forks, go to the left and towards the river bank, here you'll find the most amazing ice cream shop that has an array of different iced tea and coffee.
The Royal garden's are a peaceful break if needed.
For eating out go into the small side streets,'there are restaurants in people's houses, it's like sitting in their dining room, real Italian food, like mama used to cook, as the advert goes.
Florence is a beautiful city, full of culture, history, fine wine and food.

Amazing city. If you like to visit museums, have a look at viator. They organise trips and cut out the queues.
