Great Balls...

The Devil's Marbles just south of Tennant Creek are a strange formation of granite weathered and worn by the sun, water and ice.

Fascinating pictures Bruce. I have always thought of Australia being a wild landscape, although I know many places have become very civilized. Do you think that Australia will ever be completely tamed by humans, because I feel that would be sad as there are many lifeforms that humans would attempt to destroy to satisfy their own needs?

Apparently it is the same process that created it in the first place - a slight fault in the rock lets water in over time forming a crack, eventually the rock splits under its own weight.
