I used to take them to the local park and set them free, but it was too much effort in the heat. Dread thinking how many there are today. Puts you right off your breakfast.
I hate killing them too panda..
.At the moment I throw them over a 7ft wall but I might have to take them walkies as you suggest cause I think they find their way back pretty quickly.

We had them. We put lettuce down which they like. We collected the slug covered lettuce leaves and move it to some shrubbery in a field nearby. I'm a softie for any kind of life.
I hope there's some in my garden, the hedgehog is still active, I keep finding poo, I can't find out where he's hiding either, little devil should be hibernating.
I can't even bear to kill them Ruthio. I set them free at the front of the house where then can do no harm to my spuds! I read the the farmer's almanac recommend putting them in a plastic tupperware box and popping them in the freezer to die humanely....eek!
Can you imagine in three month's time, 'These mushrooms need using up.'
