Computer Inks

Went to Asda first thing as I was out of Magenta and Yellow inks - too much card making! Found a very strange situation there - single cartridges are only £8 each (as opposed to £12 elsewhere) - so - to replace all four would cost me £32. But - a multipack - which contains all four is priced at £60 !! I know I am not the brightest maths person - but isn't that just silly?

Yes it is. Mind I've long since thought some shops have lost the plot with their pricing policies. Two small creams £1 one large £1.20 so I buy two small for weeks, then they change it one large £1 and two small £1.45 all very odd IMO

Re: Computer Inks

In Sainsbury's yesterday, it was cheaper to buy two small jars of Kenco decaf coffee (per 100g) than one large refill pack.

Re: Computer Inks

Computer cartridges are a rip-off. I buy Canon cartridges and it costs around £32 for a twin-pack.
What annoys me is that when the black one runs out, the colour one does as well at the same time, even it has hardly been used! But what do you do?

Re: Computer Inks

Called in at Morrisons yesterday for some `festive booze` and they were offering litre bottles of vodka and gin for the same price as 70cl on the same shelves. Who'd actually buy the 70cl bottles?

Use a printer with individual cartridges.

or - buy one of these:-

Check the "Proof" label.

Some of the cheaper ones are not full strength.

Printer inks age, in my opinion, and there is no requirement to show a "Use by" date.

Cheaper ones could be being shifted before they seize up.

It does have individual cartridges, Tabby As I say, if one runs out, the other mysteriously does the same too whether it's supposedly empty or not. It's a rip-off.
To but the Epson printer you mention there would definitely not ease the cost either, not at £142!
