Re: Jacob Rees-Mogg

How rich or not a politician is doesn't mean they can't represent the poor or the rich, some of the best MPs have been very rich in their own right but so interested in making poorer people's lives better they have become rather like heroes to me.
Tax as long as people pay what they legally owe and nothing said tells me he hasn't done that is not something to disbar a person from being a caring human being. Worst tax evader I ever saw was a truly lovely man would have given you shirt off his back if you needed it more than him.
None of that worries me about him, and if he can keep his worst religious views to himself and not try to put them into legislature I can't see a reason he couldn't be a decent MP.

We really need all people represented,I'd like to see people on benefit in the commons and people like JRM that would truly represent everyone IMO.

Re: Jacob Rees-Mogg

Jacob Rees-Mogg. What do I think of him?

Well, for starters, He has stated publicly that he is a practicing Catholic, happily married with 6 children, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, educated at Eton and super wealthy himself. I say - so what.

JRM is a favourite to take over from Theresa May as Prime Minister, but cannot see it happening because of his religion - Catholic - and his known faith views against abortion, the introduction of same-sex marriage and gender realignment. We may well not agree with his views, but I wonder how many other politicians would be as honest?

I personally find him very entertaining when listening to him speak. He is definitely a conviction politician, clever, immaculate, articulate, calm, measured, and always very respectful towards others. Besides, that, he had an early start to finance when he first started dabbling in stocks and shares at the tender age of just 10 when his father gave him £50, and there was no stopping him¬!. He would make a great Chancellor!

I like him a lot. What you see is what you get.

Remember, Blair was a catholic and he was voted in.

(he also supported leaving the EU in the 80s when he was running for councillor but thats beside the point).

I like Mogg I've been a big fan of him for a few years now, since I saw him first on Question Time.

You should see his recent interview with James O'Brien - very cool, calm and collected against the "hysterical, wealthy, privately educated socialist".

If you want to hear more of Mogg tune in on Monday at 9am on Nick Ferraris show on LBC or on Moggs own (new) show on LBC on Fridays at 6pm.

I do not see how by making money and squirreling it away in some offshore account makes an apeth of difference to his ability to steer us through these difficult times. I didn't vote to come half way out of the EU, and I don't believe that was mentioned in the choices on the ballot paper.

Sure, there are going to be some hard times for a while, but if we had walked away two years ago they would have been behind us now, but here we are back to square one. The only way to quit smoking is to go 'Cold Turkey' and I believe that's what we should have done with the EU, and that's what JRM thinks too.

Jealousy is an ugly trait, and just because JRM comes from a privileged and different world from me and other working class people on here doesn't make him exempt from the job. If not him, who else? Perhaps some working class oink from South Yorkshire who hasn't got a clue about politics and would be ripped apart by the Brussels Wolves....Let's send in our champion, who at least sounds like he knows what he's doing...I for one would be proud to be in Jacob Rees Moggs corner...Rather him than me....
My thoughts exactly, I think he is just great , couldn"t worry about his accent , he seems to know what he talking of . I "d vote for him in a second.

If this is the basis for chosing your political leader(s), no wonder your country is in such a shambles.
