Still to be known as RBS in Scotland. What’s the problem?

So the RBS is splitting itself back into 2 banks - the RBS (in Scotland) and Nat West in the rest of the UK. Could this be in preparation for after Indyref 2 or is it some underhand way of conning the shareholders?

Probably part of a long term plan to disassociate its name with Scotland.

Banking is a strange world, I've avoided even short term investing in that and associated areas like a dose of clap but I have noticed that any form of even rumours or sentiment such as the wrong name can hit share prices like crazy.

Even in my little portfolio I have nothing with any association with Scotland even just by name simply because of potential effect on prices.

Dear o dear, that’s verging on the pathetic. Campaign for English independence, then you won’t have to worry about us anymore. Then you could invest in good English stock like Northern Rock... wait a minute....😱

And we'd save a fortune in subsidies and the disgusting back of a fag packet Barnett Formula.

I had to laugh (literally I did) to read that Sturgeon's expectation of gaining control of the northern UK waters was dismissed by the UK supreme court and she was told to forget about different immigration rules for Scotland into the bargain.
