I think it was on BBC News or The Andrew Marr Show this morning where it was said that the latest swab tests are now thought to be far too sensitive and are picking up remnants of long dead virus particles in peoples' samples. These false positives are now skewing the data. However, there is little point in reducing the sensitivity of the testing regime because some positive results would be missed.Re: Weekly Covid cases in England up to highest level since June
