A face in the night sky!

Our puppy decided he needed to go out and do what doggies do (do) in the early hours of this morn. Straight ahead from the back door was the moon and (I think) Evening Star, so I grabbed my camera and took a rather sleepy-shaky shot.

It's not very good, but when I put it on a larger screen I noticed an eerie face with a long neck, well defined chin (or possible a beak) and a huge pair of eyes next to the star.

Have aliens landed?

Yes, Evening/Morning Star normally refers to Venus.

The face is just to the right of the star, but you can't see it on a 'phone, or in my case a small display screen on a camera, only on a large pooter screen.

Then I'll give it a try later.

I think is it of a dog on its hind legs looking out of a window.
There is a faint outline of a dog face to the right as well.

My guess it is an overlap of a previous photo because what it was recorded on. if taken off a memory card either it has not been formatted properly or the card is faulty. Just an opinion

Well - as in the original photo it looks very red - I am guessing ... Martians!

Sorry Fruitcake, I am on a larger pooter screen, but can't see anything at all.

It is definitely not a ghost image from a previous photo.

I can see the faint hint of a dog image now you mention it realspeed.

I actually know what it is but thought I might tease you by not telling you just yet.

To me it looks like the "being" is carrying a spear or halbert, aka a halibut if you are a Terry Pratchett/Discworld fan.

Have you tried tilting the screen. It is quite faint and disappears if the screen is tilted backwards. Spooky.
