Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Yes, they've taken bloods, attached a cannula (after 5 attempts) and I go for my MRI at 4:30.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Finally got a bed - I'm getting tired of these repeat visits but have no choice when my immune system is so compromised.

Pretty much. My appetite took a dive over the weekend and some macaroni today was bland.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

I read that if you go on a fast the chemo side effects are less pronounced. coincidentally found an article on this when a good friend was having a rough time with chemo. There seems to be some evidence that it also helps the chemo to be more effective :

I don't know, I'm just on their standard programme for my type of cancer, which resumes again next Monday. it's annoying as every time I go home it's only for a few days now as I soon get sick again, this time with infection (s).

I am so sorry Dreamy. You are fed up I know.
Your immune system is depleted, so you are prone to infections.
I am thinking of you.

Sorry I wasn't very clear. I meant if you fast for 24 hours before the chemo then the side effects seem to be less and the chemo is more effective according to some research. I think you can still have liquids just reduce your usual food intake. May be worth trying as you are having such harsh side effects. Speak to the nurse/doc about it.
