No springs per se, but 'sprung' slats, and no it doesn't have a black pudding dispenser (although that would be nice, but then I'd want the rest of it - eggs, bacon, sausage etc, etc). I have a large (deep) orthopaedic mattress plus a mattress topper so yes it is supremely comfortable.

I've been thinking the last few weeks that you needed to lie down in a quiet dark place for awhile, just to reduce your BP....

Nothing wrong with my BP, its the blood per se which is the problem - too sticky.
