Stuck in black and white

I thought I was good with colours but I'm absolutely stumped for ideas for my living room.
I recently had the walls painted white and it's really opened the room up. The blond wood furniture looks great with it so I've gone with a really striking black and white colour scheme, which includes the big canvas paintings on the walls.
The only thing is now, although I like the over all look I feel it's lacking colour. I have two big plants which helps a little but is green a good accent colour? Should I go lime, yellow even, or am I missing a really obvious one? Does anyone have ant ideas or have a similar theme that they know works? Help!!!

Re: Stuck in black and white

Hi

My living room is all white, black tend to draw things in.

Duck Egg Blue is a good foil to white. I have full length curtains in it, all the accessories are the same , from the vases , candles through to the drinks mats.

It's not the black bits I dislike...as they help make the glass fire and tv blend in
But I'm liking the duck egg blue idea
I'll take a look at that one
I'm thinking more loft flat chic than soft though...

I don't think you need much to brighten it up. A few vases of fresh flowers maybe? Daffodils in black vases would look good. Later on in the year - whatever is in season...
