I think recent behaviour just proves that they are no longer a requirement and should be disbanded but as you say, there plenty that still like them so it will probably never happen.

There is the old belief that the Royals bring tourism but really the tourists come to see the buildings, they don't get to meet the Queen.

Put them on a council estate or at least tell them to get on the property ladder with a deposit like everybody else.
Why should they have preferential treatment? They are no better than anyone else. They eat, sleep and sh!t. The only thing they don't do is work.
Dispand the royal family. That would save us a fortune.

Yep, if they lived in social housing, kids under 10 years old have to share bedrooms or the parents have to pay bedroom tax. Not exactly equality is it?

I wouldn't argue they should be equal in gnat way just have a little sensitivity with their plans. Possibly think how it might look.

Remember all that fuss about the security costs of Eugenie's wedding, well this move of Harry's and Meghan's is costing us around £5 million.

Slightly more than Big Ear's annual sock bill.

Re: How much room does a family need ?

There's nothing in the rule book to state that they have to get along! They are two different women, from two different continents and backgrounds. Harry may be infatuated with her but if the rumours are correct that she is a diva, and she is losing staff, well then...why should Kate have to be bosom buddies with her? Truthfully, how many of you are that close to your inlaws?

Let the households separate, if it makes things easy for them. I think the brothers have lived close to one another for long enough, don't you? Maybe a break is what they need.

Re: How much room does a family need ?

when there is all this homeless in this country its taking the piss that a 10 bed house isn't big enough for 3 of them, or 4 with the mother in law. Spoilt brats and snobs springs to mind.

The royal family died for me when Diana died, although I do like the queen the rest of them can take a hike when she is gone.

Regardless of whether you are a royalist or not, there is no question that the royal family attract much public interest around the UK and internationally. The royals generate massive media attention as well as tourists so they do bring in quite a bit of dosh to the country
