Not American really, Baz. Anne McCaffrey was Irish & lived in County Wicklow.

I can only go by what I checked out and perhaps not entirely American she is described as American-Irish so half and half. In which case you are as correct as I am incorrect, or the reverse, whichever way you wish to see it.

Yes. 1950. It was quite a change. Fresh air, gardens, and TREES!
