Re: Another one of my weird little stories

I had a similar experience last week when I was ill in bed.I was sleeping off and on, when I suddenly saw this figure in black, like a goblin or sprite looking at me. I shot bolt upright, really fearful. The apparition quickly disappeared. This has never happened to me before. I put it down to the fever I was undergoing. Thankfully, one is much better now, but I can still remember the awful sight.

Or is it?

I was thinking about it today and was thinking that if it was a dream playing out in front of my eyes, why wasn't she pointing in the same direction as me? ie; horizontal to the floor. She was upright, I was laying down.

What do you think?
So that's where I left my broom - I did wonder!

Hi Keezoy.

She was stranger although looked similar to one of my neighbours, probably around 45 and seemed friendly, neither attractive or repulsive. I didn't see what she was wearing. She did look right at me before disappearing.

I know what you mean, in the past I have woken up, then woken up, then woken up again but I was really awake for real.

I can imagine that has stayed with you. I bet it sends a shiver down your spine when you think about it when in bed.

Since living in this house, I have seen probably five or six things like that, they are always friendly, make eye contact but disappear instantly. I neither believe or disbelieve in ghosts, just open-minded but it's the fact that they are upright and I am horizontal that has got me thinking. Perhaps as Keezoy says, the mind is good at tricking us even for just a split second.

It was dark and I was scared so I didn't look just closed my eyes tight and eventually I must have fallen asleep again..
