Re: Catarrh

OK matey, a combination remedy. Firstly Vick vapour rub - dab a small amount of this around your nose and throat just before you retire for the night. Secondly get a bottle of Pholcodine from 'Boots' chemist and use that several times a day. Thirdly get yourself some 'strong' onions - cheese & onion sarnies for supper - fabulous!!! - keep up with the remedy for a couple of weeks and that should begin to shift your catarrh.

If not, you'll be high on codeine & not notice, but your friends may keep their distance!

Twiz darlin' - think yourself lucky that I didn't suggest yet another 'old fashioned' remedy - placing cloves of garlic in an 'old sweaty woollen sock' and wrapping that around the throat.

Treatment for persistent catarrh will depend on the underlying cause of the catarrh.

Re: Catarrh

If catarrh persists, you should speak to your GP.
He/she may want to rule out conditions such as nasal polyps and to find if your catarrh is being caused by an allergic reaction.

Catarrh is not a condition in itself but a symptom of another condition.
