Catarrh

Can anyone recommend a remedy for persistent Catarrh that actually works?

It's driving me nuts 'cos I simply cannot cough it up and clear it.

As I'm asthmatic, prolonged coughing leaves me gasping for breath but I've tried cough mixtures specifically to combat catarrh ( Cononia, Potters etcetera) but they don't seen to work with me.

I get this every year around this time because I get cold after cold, which I shrug-off quite quickly but I'm always left with catarrh that won't shift! stevmk2

Re: Catarrh

I have found Luffa complex tablets very good - google them and see if they are suitable for you Steve

Oh, poor you, can't beat a dose of "black and nasty" Ammon. chlor. and morph. don't think you can buy it now though! Try leaving out milk, chocolate and dairy foods, or hang upside-down for a bit! sounds daft but I remember having bronchitis & hanging over the edge of the bed, seemed to help shift it.

This sounds daft too but helps to shift it: have a good cry! Gets it all moving! Sniff an onion if you can't find a "weepy" to watch.

rub your chest with Vic this works through the skin and chest , helps to loosen any congestion . you might need to do it twice a day ..

Re: Catarrh

Can you use it if you're asthmatic? I do but I don't know how it affects folk. Inhaling it in hot water is good instead of onion!
