The call of nature.

In todays paper:

"Human and animal poo could one day be used to power mobile phones, scientists believe.
Bacteria from faeces could also improve bio batteries - which use organic fuels - in devices such as laptops.
It releases an electrical charge while "breathing" iron minerals, experiments have shown.
It is hoped this sustainable form of energy could be harnessed to power electronic gadgets.
Lead researcher Julea Butt, from the University of East Anglia said: "These bacteria can generate electricity in the right environment. This is an exciting advance".

Re: The call of nature.

I’ve always thought that if they really put their minds to it they could come up with alternative sources of power, especially for low voltage devices, the human body is a mini powerhouse in itself and could run mobile phones, watches, possibly even a tablet if a way was figured out to extract that power, but as I said in another post there is too much profit to be made in batteries, I can't see that changing in the near future.
Now poo power, don’t think I’d be too keen on that, although the politicians would never be short of power, they’re always full of shit.

What happens if you’re constipated? Does the driver not let you on the bus?

Re: The call of nature.

Reminds me of the old joke:-

A blonde pushes her BMW into a gas station. She tells the mechanic it died.
After he works on it for a few minutes, it is idling smoothly. She says, "What's the story?"
He replies, "Just crap in the carburetor."
She asks, "How often do I have to do that?"
