Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Sun a bit late getting up this morning, but it looks like another lovely day.
Had a nice walk up the mountain earlier, the trees are looking a bit sad loosing their leaves.Dog had a good sniff around, keep him on the lead while up there because if he the scent of something he'd be gone. It's his 1st birthday today.
Had some bark and compost delivered yesterday so gardening this afternoon.
Getting a bit concerned about more cases of Covid happening.I think that pubs should close again, people get complacent after a few drinks and forget the rules.
Have a good day.

A lovely sunny one . I agree ,some of the rules dont make sense. Whats the difference between closing early at 10pm and the normal time of 11pm ?
Lana's Covid test was negative so back to school for the twins and work for mum.
Not doing much
Take care xxx

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I was wondering what difference pubs closing "early" would make. Folk would just stand outside and gossip anyway if chucked out early.

Shock in Church this morning, Vicar leaving. Mind you, I said when he arrived he's only last a few years! (He's rather high church and inclined to enjoy the sound of his own voice rather much, which doesn't go down too well in the country!) He's going to a parish in Brecon, so perhaps he'll find that suits him better.

My DIL heard from a friend who runs quite a large shop in Crickhowell this morning that they are having difficulty sourcing electrical items. Discussion between us as to the advisability of buying a spare washing machine! Mine is horribly noisy, hers is fairly new, so I'm seriously considering lashing out!

Another lovely sunny day and loads of washing out on the line.

Carers slightly concerned about Rob, so tried to get through to the Surgery. What a performance. Rob is supposed to be on the "Virtual Ward" but it still takes forever to speak to someone.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Turned out Rob was constipated and had urine infection - though no temperature, which fooled us. However after the ministrations of the District Nurse and started on antibiotics, much better today.

Another lovely sunny morning, so put the parasol up - promptly clouded over. Put the parasol down and half an hour later the sun was back out. Still, washing is drying. Bought my spare washing machine - being delivered tomorrow.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Back to the rain today.
Had my flu jab yesterday. There was a queue but it moved quickly and inside the community centre the two nurses doing the injections were super fast with their needles!
New fence panel and post delivered yesterday, decided to paint them before they're put in place.
Last night didn't know which side to lay on-left arm was a bit sore after the injection, right arm aching after painting.
Granddaughter and children coming this afternoon.
Have a good day.
