Do you have a particular contract in mind? All contracts will have different levels of infrastructure.

She's not been seen or heard for a fortnight .....

Is she hard at work, brushing up her skills and knowledge before assuming her new responsibilities or is she, as a board member of the Jockey Club, at one of the 4 race meetings today .....

I certainly have. Don't take offense because there's non intended but it appears to be some form of obsessive- compulsive disorder.
