TV competitions

I've noticed a fair few of these competitions as I peruse crap TV channels.

Typically, they'll be a 3 night break to New York for you and your partner, a Broadway show, dinner and £1000 spending money each.

They want you to text or call a number and it ends up costing around £2.50 plus network charges to enter.

Who thinks these things up, and how much money do they make from them I wonder?

It's pretty obvious, that all of these phone up comps are money making exercises. If just a few thousand deluded souls ring up, then the companies are coining it big time. As soon as you see 0906 included in the number, then it,s time to run for the hills!
