I was given smelling salts as a child when they could not wake me up from a general anaesthetic. It felt like someone shoving sticks up my nose. I was in such a good place before they woke me in such an unpleasant manner. They did smell of some perfumed oil but that's the last thing you noticed. I wonder if ammonia saved my life or would I have just woken anyway.08-10-2018, 12:22 AM
