My Fridge Shelf Is Jammed. Any Ideas How To Get The Shelf Out?

A few weeks ago, l cleaned my fridge but silly me put the shelf in the wrong place and now l can’t shift it. I asked a strong friend but he couldn’t move it either.

Now l am left with a leaning shelf where most things slide to the right!

It also means the salad boxes are jammed underneath another lower shelf that is also in the wrong place!

I have tried to live with it but my space is restricted.

Any ideas how to dislodge the ‘leaning shelf of Pisa’?

Play about with the temperature?

Might contract enough after being off for an hour or three?

Ted, l could try that. I don’t want to turn it off at the plug as the food in the freezer below might start to defrost.

Oooh, l have just remembered, it is moveable but it won’t lift up over the protruding sides as the fridge door frame is in the way.

Possibly a hair dryer very local to the offending shelf? You would still have to heat it at least some............

I think you are going to have to move the fridge/freezer out from the wall, Art until it is clear of the door jamb. Then you can open the door wider - tip it up a bit and probably jiggle the shelf about until it gets free. Might take two - don't hurt yourself.
