Re: Clean Your Own Car?

I never ever let anyone wash my car, not even the garage when it goes in for service, I have 2 karcher pressure washers, I can even use my water butt so there’s no water marks, usually a rinse first, then depending on how much muck is on it, a snow foam, then two buckets , one car shampoo, the other clear water to rinse, sometimes I’ll clay bar it before polishing/waxing before sealing the paint…once I’ve done this then just an occasional wash will do…

Wow! Life is far to short for mucking about with buckets

Depends how much you enjoy cleaning cars, plus, I don’t have any swirl marks on the paintwork

You can, also, spot all the dings, by doing this, and fix them before the rust gets in.

On the other hand, most of my family pay up to about 20 quid to have their car professionally cleaned.

Should I get them round and charge them a tenner to do it for them?

I'd make a mint!

But I think they'd turn their noses up at the thought!

That depends. Can you wash it, polish it and vacuum inside in ten about ten minutes?
