Re: Freedom Day.

You really need to stop falling for the media guff.

It doesn't matter what the government do about this blasted virus, there are those that will vocally oppose it.
They can't win.

Time will tell whether it is the right approach or whether it was a huge mistake.

Yeah! The thing that l can't get over though, is the complete and
sudden change from overkill to complete and utter underkill ??

Re: Freedom Day.

Hi

It is not all Media Hype, there are genuine concerns about this.

Boris has been very clever about this basically saying it will work if everyone is sensible, which of course they won't be.

If it works he will take the credit, if it doesn,t work he will blame the public.

It is not in his nature to accept responsibility for anything.

It's true.

The public have a choice.

Behave sensibly and your chances of even catching the Covid virus are slim, and if you're vaccinated you are unlikely to suffer even if infected.

Behave stupidly, especially if you haven't been vaccinated, and you put your life in your own hands. You'd get no sympathy from me.

In fairness it is quite possibly a dawning realization that the "overkill" of restrictions in reality has bu@@er-all effect on reducing fatalities - certainly when compared to being fully-vaccinated.

Absolutely, 100%, totally correct and I completely agree with you JBR. And I think Swimmy is right with his last statement. Boris wins either way.

Re: Freedom Day.

I suppose they have suddenly realised that if 'one in three can be carrying the virus and not know about it', that means around 20 million didn't need to worry.

True, and in that respect it's far less damaging than the flu.
