What lessons did your mother never teach you ?

Mum never taught me how to cook .

How to put on makeup ( they didn't really approve of it)
The facts of life ( did anyone's parents ?)

I keep trying to think of something she did teach me

Oh yes getting the fire started by putting a newspaper in front of it making it 'draw' ( I watched her do it everyday )

A skill that could have burned the house down

Mine never taught me much either - certainly nothing practical.

I think it was The People .
And on Sunday News of the World
( The pages were big and covered the whole fire place )
A Guardian or Times never entered our house .

My Mother never mentioned sex.

Grandmother did, simple thing she taught all her Grandsons.

Respect your lady, pleasure her first and she will be be happy and wanting more.

She was a very sensible lady.

The other piece of advice she gave us was

Only Marry a Woman with small hands.

It makes it look bigger.

Indeed would sit h off the TV if anything remotely sexual came on .
Ditto programmes pertaining to childbirth etc

In fact it is a mystery to me how my brothers and I came into this world .

My mother (and father) taught me loads of things but I didn't listen to most of them. I've suffered the consequences.
It is the most important thing in life to listen to advice, especially when you are young. You can't undo mistakes easily.

Dragon taught me how to cook so that she and George could go away on holiday and leave me 'house sitting', knowing that I was eating 'proper' meals instead of eating out of tins and packets.
