Mp`s want to relax vaping laws in public places

Outcry as MPs back call to relax rules around smoking e-cigarettes in public while making the devices easier to get on prescription

Regulations should be relaxed relating to e-cigarettes licensing, said report
Scientists said report by Commons science technology committee ‘one sided’
There should be an urgent review to make it easier to get e-cigarettes

My view is that vaping should not be allowed in places like trains buses pubs restaurants etc.

Sometimes vapers seem to be like steam trains strolling past.

Speaking as a smoker....my opinion.....vaping should be subject to the same restrictions as smoking in public places.

As for being more readily available on prescription.....if it encourages people to quit the fags, then yes.

But....there's no substitute for will power, something that I sadly lack

Noooo! The woman nextdoor leans over the fence with clouds of toffee smelling fog, stinks!
She has a dreadful cough too!
Although, I have to admit that tobacco smoke awakens a yearning in me that I'm not proud of.
Pipe smoke, certain brands are nice though.

Re: Mp`s want to relax vaping laws in public places

One of the problems with vaping is youngsters have been subtly encouraged to vape rather than smoke, which on the face of it is the better option.

However, non smokers/vapers need to be considered and many say vaping "smoke" is as annoying as actual fag smoke. So therefore it shouldn't be allowed anywhere smoking's not allowed.

Neither should be allowed in public, not only due to health/irritation issues but because even vaping sets a bad example to youngsters.

Vapers have a certain air about them (stinky), no I mean they sort of pose and hold their thingies with a flourish, a bit like cigar smokers used to.

My poinking digit twitches when I see one!

Re: Mp`s want to relax vaping laws in public places

The amount of smoke that those things give off is ridiculous, like seeing through the smog in the fifties so no, they should be subject to the same restrictions as fags.

As for being available on prescription you really have to be joking, if someone tries them with view to quitting they will already be paying ten times less than buying their cigarettes so shouldn't that incentive enough? Taking the proverbial there I'm afraid....
