I truly believe that the world should pay to keep the rainforest rainforest.
It is the lungs of the world apart from anything else.
Unfortunately Muddy it seems that the indigenous people of
the Amazon are going the same way as all the other native
peoples before them, such as the red lndians of N america/
the aboriginals of Australia/ the koi koi & koi san of southern
Africa etc etc!
These peoples will be restricted and constricted untill they
disappear, and their land will be converted to pasture or
arable lands, and unless we change our methods of farming
will deteriorate into semi desert!
It seems to be inevitable l'm afraid!
As regards the atmosphere we are lucky that a good bit of
our oxygen actually is produced by the oceans!
But who knows with warming of the oceans this could
change? Perhaps the planet will readjust itself once humans
have all died of asphyxiation?
